On May 18, the unveiling ceremony for the Zhejiang University–Zhejiang Chengxin “Green Process Equipment R&D Center” was held at the Zhejiang University Hydrogen Energy Research Institute. Chen Renxian, the company’s chairman, attended and delivered a speech. Zheng Jinyang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the Zhejiang University Hydrogen Energy Research Institute, and Zhang Ruimin, who has served five terms as vice chairman of the Taizhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, jointly unveiled the center. Chen Zhiping, Vice Dean of the Zhejiang University Hydrogen Energy Research Institute; Guo Minlong, Secretary-General of the Taizhou Enterprise Federation; Pan Wangui, Deputy General Manager of the company; and several members of the project team attended the event.
During the subsequent roundtable discussion, Chairman Zhang Ruimin noted that Taizhou and Zhejiang University have a long history of cooperation. Taizhou is currently developing offshore hydrogen energy projects, and Academician Zheng Jinyang, as an authority on materials for hydrogen production, storage, and transportation, can lay a solid foundation for Taizhou’s hydrogen energy sector to take the lead in Zhejiang and even nationwide; The establishment of the Zhejiang University–Zhejiang Integrity Green Process Equipment R&D Center will inject strong momentum into the green transformation and upgrading of pharmaceutical and chemical enterprises, while also leveraging the expertise of the academician team to enhance and upgrade Taizhou’s hydrogen energy industrial chain.
Academician Zheng Jinyang expressed his sincere gratitude to Chairman Chen for his generous support of the Hydrogen Energy Research Institute and looked forward to fruitful cooperation between the two parties.
