Tubular Falling Film Evaporator

Shell-and-tube falling-film evaporators feature high heat transfer coefficients, high evaporation capacity per unit area, low construction costs, a small footprint, a wide range of applications, and suitability for large-scale plants. They eliminate the loss of effective heat transfer temperature difference caused by static pressure, have a low pressure drop, and exhibit high heat transfer rates at low temperatures. This equipment can also be used in multi-effect evaporation systems.

Product Overview

Shell-and-tube falling-film evaporators feature high heat transfer coefficients, high evaporation capacity per unit area, low construction costs, a small footprint, a wide range of applications, and suitability for large-scale plants. They eliminate the loss of effective heat transfer temperature difference caused by static pressure, exhibit low pressure drop, and achieve high heat transfer rates at low temperatures. This equipment can also be used in multi-effect evaporation systems.

Concentration of Dilute Solutions

The feed solution is evenly distributed from the top onto the inner wall of the heating tube to form a liquid film, which evaporates upon heating, thereby separating and concentrating the solute and solvent.

Low-Temperature Evaporation

It maintains a high heat transfer rate even at low heat transfer temperature differences and high vacuum levels, making it suitable for heat-sensitive materials.

Anti-scale Design

The liquid flows in a film-like manner, and vaporization occurs on the highly agitated surface of the film, making it unlikely for scale to form on the inner wall of the heating tube.

Eliminating the Effects of Static Pressure

Eliminate heat transfer temperature difference losses caused by static pressure and improve evaporation efficiency.

Synergistic Effects

It can be applied to multi-effect evaporation systems to reduce energy consumption and improve overall economic efficiency.

Main Uses

Shell-and-tube falling-film evaporators are widely used in the pharmaceutical industry for the concentration of bulk parent solutions for large-volume parenteral solutions and the concentration of traditional Chinese medicine extracts; in the chemical industry for the concentration of inorganic salt solutions and the evaporation treatment of chemical waste liquids; and in the food industry for the concentration of fruit juices, jams, and glucose solutions. They are particularly suitable for evaporation and concentration processes involving heat-sensitive and foam-prone materials, as well as those conducted under high-vacuum conditions.

Product Structure
Feed Distributor

Located at the top of the unit, it distributes the feed liquid evenly throughout each heating tube; it must perform well and be resistant to clogging.

Main Unit

Houses the heating tube bundle and withstands the shell-side steam pressure

Heating Tube Bundle

In a shell-and-tube design, the feed fluid flows downward in a film along the inner wall of the tube, and heat is transferred through the tube wall.
